Philip Wood

Philip's distinctive hand made earthenware is characterised by its pale washed terra cotta colour and creamy glaze. Birds and animals are modelled and sprigged onto the outside surface.

Besides being decorative, the work is all highly functional and a pleasure to use and handle. On close inspection, you can often find one of Philip's thumb prints made in the wet clay that has been sealed for life into the surface of the pot.
