Linda Miller

Linda treats embroidery like drawing or painting, working directly onto heavy weight cotton with black thread in her industrial Bernina sewing machine to create a sketch outline. Blocks of colour and detail are then infilled using a long machine stitch and a riot of rich coloured threads to give a vibrant, textured finish to the embroidery.

Her unique style is distinctive. Linda creates rich, colourful, naive and humorous embroideries which contain figures and animals always happy, always smiling and set outdoors where they participate in everyday stories.
