Frances Levis

Frances uses the traditional silversmithing technique of forging to create small items of silverware and much of her jewellery.

“I enjoy the satisfaction of changing the shape of the metal from a plain rod into a functional and inspirational piece through cold and occasionally hot forging.”

In some pieces of jewellery the hammer marks are retained and polished allowing the reflection of light in different directions. In others the silver is given a satin finish and freshwater pearls are added to give a sophisticated and feminine look.
