Tony Laverick

Tony Laverick is an established potter having been making ceramics for thirty plus years. He started with a university training between 1981 and 1984 and then went on to work as a designer with Wedgwood.

The vessels are made from specially prepared black and white porcelain. Tony uses separate work areas in order to keep the clays from contaminating each other. The glazes, engobes and lustres are applied later with subsequent lower temperature firings. All the work encourages the viewer to rotate the piece to reveal different visual relationships.
