Born in Jaipur, India, Poppy started trading in jewellery found on trips into the Thar desert. He later found the jewellery had gripped his imagination and after travelling to Europe and London he enrolled on a jewellery making course at Sir John Cass.
Poppy's jewellery is made using combinations of silver, 18ct white, yellow and pure gold. He uses a variety of gemstones including rough, abstract cut diamonds.
His pieces have a timeless, sculptural quality which link ancient and modern. They incorporate influences from both his Rajasthani heritage and Western contemporary jewellery design.
