Becky Crow

Becky’s jewellery has a strong illustrative leaning. Designs develop from drawings; both observational and imagined. There are elements of narrative captured in silver and transformed into miniature scenes telling out across the surface of a brooch or hanging as a pendant. Becky would like people to identify a link to their own story within her jewellery.

The pieces are made using sheet silver and copper with gold for detailing. The metal is pierced out, then textures and patterns are applied to the surface using a rolling mill and templates. These components are then layered together and soldered. The pieces are finished with a mixture of matt, oxidised and polished surfaces to add depth and tone.
